3D Embellished Glass Cup

How are popular Drinking Glassware with kinds of Embellishments on the outer wall, such as small animals and floral patterns on the outer wall processed?

The processing of glass cup patches mainly includes the following steps:

The design drawing of the patch determines the theme, style and colour matching of the decal pattern according to the needs and goals, such as designing various textured Christmas tree cup p, lemon decorative cup 3D decal and other patterns, and draws the idea into a simple hand-drawn sketch for further adjustment and improvement.

In terms of materials, the type of glass used for the cup may affect the adhesion of the patch, especially due to the different surface properties of soda-lime glass and borosilicate glass, and the applicability of the glue used for the embellishment. In addition, there are some problems with the patch material itself, including whether the thickness of the colored glass fragments is uniform, whether it is easy to break, and whether there will be problems during application.

Then there is the surface treatment, whether the glass surface is clean, and whether there is any treatment to increase roughness, such as plasma cleaning or acid etching, which can improve adhesion.

In terms of process steps, such as pressure and temperature control during lamination, and whether the curing process is sufficient. The type of glue is very important, such as food-grade adhesives, and high temperature resistance and chemical resistance must also be considered.

In addition, whether the embellishment design is reasonable, such as avoiding large-area collages, or using block designs to reduce stress concentration. Patches with curved shapes, such as small animals and flowers, need to be attached in parts (such as petals, ears and other details). When attached manually, an angle deviation of more than 1° will cause the pattern to be distorted, which will cause the entire batch of products to be reworked. When attaching a flat patch to a cylindrical cup body, bubbles are easily generated on the edge (especially in the cup mouth/bottom area with a large arc). For example, when attaching a 3D butterfly patch, the edge of the wing needs to be softened by a hot pressing process to fit the curved surface, but a temperature exceeding 60°C may cause the patch pigment to fade.

The user's usage habits are also important, and maintenance suggestions need to be provided, such as avoiding high-temperature cleaning and avoiding scratches with hard objects. Quality inspection may also be mentioned, such as weather resistance tests before leaving the factory, such as dishwasher tests and hot and cold shock tests, to ensure that the product meets the standards.
